New article on focused ion beam milling accepted in "Nature Communications"

ncommsI'm glad to annonce that our work in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research and the Imperial College has been accepted today in Nature Communications: "Cryogenic focused ion beam milling of environmentally-sensitive materials: example of Ti and its alloys". Within this large experimental/numerical collaborative effort, I designed, performed and analyzed all the numerical investigations.

At the MMM 2018 in Osaka

The 9th International Conference on Multiscale Materials Modeling (MMM2018) will be held in Osaka, Japan, from Oct. 28th to Nov. 2nd, 2018. It is a world leading forum dedicated to the dissemination of the latest development in the field of multiscale materials modeling.

On Oct. 31th, Symposium C-5, I will present our Atomic scale investigation of plasticity in Laves phases conducted with my colleagues from the IMM, F.Z. Mouhib, C. Zehnder, J. Gibson and S. Korte-Kerzel, in collaboration with B. Grabowski from the MPIe Düsseldorf.
